Since virtually all business decisions have a financial dimension, an understanding of the financial implications of a decision is crucial for effective management. Our program, ranked No. 11 in the country by College Factual, helps Finance students develop a problem-solving, decision analysis framework centered around value creation and serving the consumer.

Finance – the art and science of managing money – is about making decisions that add value to corporations and individuals. As a discipline, finance also includes investment management for individuals and institutions, as well as the management of financial institutions such as banks and insurance companies.

College Factual ranks our finance program No. 11 in the country, with resources and opportunities that put it in the top 1% of the country's most-focused programs. Undergraduates may select concentrations in Finance or Financial Services. A Finance minor also is available. MBA students may choose to specialize in Global Finance. The C.V. Starr Financial Markets Center supports students' coursework.

We aim to provide finance education that is current with finance practice. Our C.V. Starr Financial Markets Center (FMC) provides an all-encompassing educational experience in which students are immersed in a state-of-the-art financial markets environment. Studens can observe the flow of financial information in real-time, using real-world economic, financial, accounting and information technologies to solve problems and answer questions.

Graduates are prepared for careers in retail securities brokerage, financial planning, real estate investment management, insurance, and financial institutions management.
