About Economics

The study of economics provides students with an opportunity to understand the most important aspects of modern societies such as production decisions, income distribution, and the consumption of goods and services.
Bryant Professor Laura Beaudin

Our faculty

Activities at the University's Center for Global and Regional Economic Studies often are led by the preeminent Economics Department faculty, who work in concert with students from all disciplines and with fellow faculty who hold positions in other departments at Bryant or at other distinguished institutions.

B.S. in Applied Economics

The BSAE requires quantitative applied real-world analysis in addition to the economics core.  Students who graduate with this degree become proficient in the use of statistical and mathematical tools and are able to analyze and quantify economic relations to gain knowledge of the framework of the economy.

Graduates of Bryant's programs within the Economics Department go on to prestigious graduate schools and are in demand by business, government, and nonprofit organizations.
